PATRONS

FOSTERING ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE &
SUPPORTING VULNERABLE YOUNG PERSONS

The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation (BOVJCF) has established a Patronage Scheme as outlined in its founding deed. This scheme, governed by terms set by the Board of Administrators, categorizes contributors as 'Patrons'.

The Patronage Scheme includes five tiers: Friend, Silver Patron, Gold Patron, Platinum Patron, and Diamond Plus Patron. Patrons remain in their respective categories for the calendar year in which they contribute, except for Diamond Plus Patrons, who retain their status for 10 years.

Both individuals and corporate entities can become Patrons by making an annual donation to the Foundation, with their status valid for that specific year. These terms are subject to change at the discretion of the Board.

FOUNDATION
OVERVIEW
The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation (BOVJCF) was established by Bank of Valletta and Joseph Calleja in October 2013. The Foundation is a not for profit charity and is duly registered in Malta with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations. The oversight and stewardship of the Foundation has been entrusted to an independent Board of Trustees. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) are the appointed auditors of the Foundation, and audited accounts will be published on an annual basis.
THE
PURPOSE
The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation (BOVJCF) was established with two key goals: providing financial assistance and support to exceptionally talented young individuals in the performing arts to help them achieve their potential, and offering aid to vulnerable young persons from challenging social backgrounds who are not covered by existing social support programs. Through these efforts, the Foundation seeks to uplift both gifted youth and vulnerable young persons, enabling them to thrive despite their circumstances.
FUNDING
SOURCES
The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation (BOVJCF) was initially funded through seed capital from Bank of Valletta and Joseph Calleja. For ongoing support, two primary funding sources have been established. First, an annual winter concert, performed by Joseph Calleja and BOVJCF scholars, will raise funds with all proceeds going to the Foundation. Second, a Patrons’ Scheme will generate additional funds, ensuring that all contributions are directed solely toward the Foundation's mission of supporting gifted youth and vulnerable young persons.
PATRONS
SCHEME
The Patrons’ Scheme has been established to enable those who wish to do so, to contribute to the objectives of the Foundation. The scheme has been designed to enable you to participate at a level (and for a duration) of your choice. Details of the scheme, including the categories of Patrons together with the benefits and commitments accruing to each, are set out overleaf.
