Abigail Grech

SCHOLAR DESCRIPTION

Abigail Grech started her musical education by studying classical guitar and piano and eventually decided to pursue her studies in Double Bass Performance. She graduated from the Akademia Muzyczna im. K. Lipińskiego in Wrocław in 2022 under the tutorship of Dr. Hab. Irena Olkiewicz. She has attended masterclasses with Miloslav Jelínek, Franco Petracchi, Uxía Martínez Botana, Janusz Widzyk and Alberto Bocini amongst others and is currently following a Master in Double Bass Performance with Mro Amerigo Bernardi at the Conservatorio Peri-Merulo in Reggio Emilia. Abigail has participated in various festivals in Europe and has also collaborated with and forms part of various orchestras and ensembles both in Malta and Italy such as the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, VIBE, Nova Sinfonietta, Peri-Merulo Ensemble Barocco and Orchestra Olimpia.
